Kevin Bennett and James Gillard worked together in The Flood and continue
the vision for that band on a new collection of songs called "Two".
Joined by
Doug Bligh, Mark Collins, Tim Wedde, Michel Rose and Doug Gallagher,
Kevin and James lay down acoustic songs drawing on a range of roots traditions
including blues, blue-grass and country rock (with echoes of Little Feat and Son Volt).
While these days they are firmly rooted in the earthy sounds of alternative country,
Bennett once served time in Moving Pictures and sang with Icehouse while James Gillard was with Western Flyer and Mondo Rock.
"Two" features the intricate instrumentation and cleverly crafted lyrics which also make Bennett and Gillard
prominent players on contemporary albums by Kasey Chambers and Shanley Del.
